Samsung urges owners to request a replacement model of this device whose sale had to be canceled after ignition cases were detected.
Samsung has announced that the new mobile devices Galaxy Note 7 revised and with guaranteed security to the technical problems of their batteries, will arrive on October 28 to the European market. The South Korean firm estimated that the replacement program will be completed in early October.
After about 35 documented cases detected, the South Korean firm had to recognise in early September that the batteries of some models had ignition problems. In addition to suspending its marketing on September, which began on August 19th, the company called all Note 7 sold to date for review.
In this regard, Samsung technology has re-emphasised the owners of this phone to replace it as soon as possible. From September 19th until today, 97% of users of Note 7 have benefited from the replacement program in Europe and have chosen replacement for the same model, while 3% have chosen a different smartphone from the Galaxy range.
All European customers who bought the Note 7, according to the brand, received safety messages urging them to qualify to benefit the replacement program, as well as a software upgrade to limit the maximum battery charge to 60% and avoid more cases of ignition. The new devices that are being delivered to consumers have the battery indicator green to differentiate themselves from the first version and a square symbol in the black box.
